1959 Bentley SII
A little history on the car might be helpful. The original "commissioning" of the car was October 20, 1959. I am the third owner (as best as I can tell): I have owned the car since 1981 at which time it was restored by Jack Sutherland in Martinsburg, West Virginia. It has always been garaged. I used it for several years as part of a limousine service, before and after it appeared in the movie "Dirty Dancing." After replacing the original transmission 3 times and many repairs to the engine it was professionally fitted with a GM 455 Rocket engine and transmission. The car was driven for many weddings and driven to Charleston from Virginia. The car needs some work--a new fuel pump and muffler being two noticeable items. It would be an ideal car for restoration at what I consider a reasonable price. The leather is in pretty good condition and some wood repair needs to be done on the top rail of the dashboard. It comes with the requisite picnic tables, original radio and has an intact headliner. The color is claret below the windows with a silver top. Relocation has put me in the position of having to part with car. I am asking $11,200. If you are seriously interested I would be happy to hear from you.
